Hello,
My name is Kevin, I am the proprietor of K. P. BMW Spares.

I started breaking BMW cars in 1998 when I was looking for a part for my own BMW 525 TDS Touring E34. New parts were just too expensive at the time and second hand parts were almost as bad. So I decided to purchase another BMW as a donor vehicle for my BMW 525, and that how I started K. P. BMW Spares. Basically I needed to sell all the parts on the donor vehicle to get my money back.

Before I started breaking BMW motor cars, I was a mechanic and have been servicing and repairing motor vehicles since the late 1960s.

In the 1980s I worked at the old Rover plant on Drews Lane, Bromford and Birmingham (just of the A4040). I spent many happy years there but was never really tested as a mechanic. I also worked at the Longbridge plant of Rover in Birmingham, which I enjoyed but once again not really testing work. So the next logical step was to go it alone.

In the 1990s I went back to being a fully fledged mechanic. I became a self employed mobile mechanic and enjoyed the challenges of every day having to solve new customer vehicle problems. There is nothing like solving customers vehicle problems and getting a huge thank you at the end of the job. That to me made starting up by myself worth it.

Today as you can tell by this site we specialise in breaking and dismantling BMWs. We also service and repair BMWs for customers and we also undertake MOT work.
